Kompienga: The Secretary General of Kompienga Province, Issa Dabon©, representing the High Commissioner, presided over the national flag-raising ceremony in Pama on Thursday, March 26, 2026, as part of the Days of Patriotic Commitment and Civic Participation (JEPPC). The province's constituted bodies were invited to promote local consumption.
According to Burkina Information Agency, the Secretary General, Issa Dabon©, read the message from the President of Burkina Faso, Captain Ibrahim Traor©, who stated that "imperialism is on our plates," echoing an idea from the father of the August 1983 Revolution. The Head of State denounced the behavior of some citizens, characterized by a dependence on Western products to the detriment of local production.
He also condemned the rhetoric that portrays Burkina Faso as a poor country, when in fact its land is rich in resources. The President of Burkina Faso invited the Burkinabe people to embrace the slogan "My plate, my pride," promoting the consumption of local products.
Addressing skeptics, he emphasized that the illusion of easy consumption is a trap that could jeopardize the future of Burkinabe children, adding that the time for devaluing local products is over. Issa Dabon© urged all constituted bodies to adopt this message and to demonstrate civic and patriotic behavior.
