Goni: As part of the days of patriotic commitment and civic participation, the public primary school of Goni “A” closed its activities with the raising of the colors, this Thursday, October 23, 2025. The students of the school committed to cultivating order and discipline both at school and in daily life.
According to Burkina Information Agency, after the solemn raising of the national flag and the performance of the national anthem in Dioula, the director of the public primary school of Goni, Fulbert Kadeba, explained to the students the importance of this activity. He first presented the meaning of the theme “For order and discipline I commit myself” and recalled the sacrifice made by certain predecessors including Thomas Sankara, father of the August 1983 revolution.
Mr. Kadeba emphasized that the Goni “A” school is one of the bilingual schools in the Basic Education District (CEB) of Dokuy, where the introduction of the national Dioula language in learning began with the national anthem. For the occasion, the students dressed in traditional loincloths or kokodonda.
At the end of the flag-raising ceremony, the students pledged to cultivate order and discipline both at school and in their daily lives.
