Djibasso: The President of the special delegation (PDS) of the commune of Madouba, Kouka Desire Kiemde, visited the department's services relocated in an emergency situation on Monday, February 9, 2026. In his message of support, Kiemde reassured everyone that he had come to witness firsthand the realities faced by the commune's residents in this emergency situation and to report back.
According to Burkina Information Agency, Kouka Desire Kiemde emphasized that he had observed the conditions in which the residents find themselves, expressing hope for a swift return of the people to their respective villages. The PDS began his visit at the Moudouba Basic Education District (CEB) and continued to the schools, where he found teachers and students gathered together.
The host presented a flag, a national symbol to be raised as a sign of patriotism and to mark the presence of the administration. The civil registry office, temporarily relocated to the parish, is accessible only to residents of the municipality to ensure the continuity of services. At the Madouba departmental high school, Kouka Desire Kiemde also donated a flag and presented 15 bicycles to internally displaced students, donated by the NGO ASMADE.
Health services were also addressed during the visit. At each location, the municipal authority promised to relay any grievances to the appropriate authorities. Instructions were issued at the reception sites to limit movement. The president of the special delegation commended the population for their solidarity and discipline during this difficult time. Residents of the villages of Boakuy and Dina were authorized to return to their respective villages.
