Koper:The provincial director of preschool, primary, and non-formal education (DPEPPNF) in Ioba, Tibouo-ion Romaric Some, extended congratulations to the stakeholders of the basic education district (CEB) of Koper for their outstanding performance in the 2026 primary school certificate (CEP). The district achieved a success rate of 99.46%, placing it second at the provincial level.
According to Burkina Information Agency, the commendations were delivered during the administrative back-to-school general assembly of the CEB of Koper. The event was chaired by the head of the basic education district (CCEB), Jean-Marie Kambou, with attendance from CEB office staff and teachers from the commune's thirty-one schools.
The assembly focused on reviewing the 2025-2026 school year, discussing official instructions, and addressing challenges to further improve education quality. Jean-Marie Kambou praised the stakeholders' achievements, encouraging them to strive for a 100% success rate by the 2026-2027 school year. "I personally congratulate you on the 99.46% rate that the CEB obtained in the CEP, 2026 session. We will therefore aim for 100% this year," he stated.
To meet this goal, Inspector Nouombèlièrè Simplice Poda emphasized the importance of lesson preparation, participation in school councils and training, and implementing new educational reforms. Tibouo-ion Romaric Some also thanked municipal authorities, educational supervisors, school principals, teachers, students, and school council members for their contributions, noting Koper's second place in the province and the province's top regional ranking.
To sustain these results, the DPEPPNF urged stakeholders to ensure a smooth start to classes on October 1, 2026, and to collaborate effectively on school issues while using social media responsibly. "Let's avoid slander, gossip, and especially invading social media. I wouldn't want to see teachers in prison as a result of a social media post," he cautioned.
Additionally, the DPEPPNF advocated for support of bilingual and multilingual education reforms. Ahouranibè Paulin Some, head of the primary education department, reminded attendees of the requirement to wear traditional Koko Dunda attire on Mondays and Thursdays. Meanwhile, Boni Dabou of the examinations and competitions department highlighted new guidelines for the higher certificate of pedagogical aptitude (CSAPe) exams.
Jean-Marie Kambou announced an upcoming pedagogical conference from October 6 to 9 and the first pedagogical day of the CEB on October 14. The assembly concluded with the presentation of congratulatory letters to the CCEB, two educational supervisors, and teachers who achieved a 100% pass rate in the CEP.
