According to Burkina Information Agency, the delegation, under the leadership of Abdoul Ouahbidi Sibri 2 Guingan© and Ahmadou Tamboura, observed the wheat fields cultivated by the "Ben Kadi" cooperative. Mr. Guingan© acknowledged the warm reception and emphasized the visit's importance as part of the ongoing agricultural offensive aimed at increasing cereal production. The provincial director applauded the producers for their achievements and urged them to maintain their momentum.
Mr. Tamboura highlighted the significance of wheat cultivation alongside other crops, emphasizing its role in enhancing food self-sufficiency. He noted the collective responsibility required, stating that every stakeholder, from producers to technicians, plays an essential role. Other producers voiced concerns over accessing inputs and fertilizers and the development of lowland rice paddies. In response, Mr. Tamboura assured producers that their issues would be addressed and encouraged strengthening cooperative cohesion, especially by integrating women for better project and equipment access.
Mr. Tamboura also announced the availability of inputs, tillers, and Brazilian cows at favorable prices. The visit concluded on a positive note, with Mr. Guingan© thanking the producers for their dedication and urging them to continue making wheat a cornerstone of regional food security.
