Koudougou: The organizing committee of the local food festival held a press conference on Monday, March 15 in Koudougou to announce the holding of the 7th edition of the festival, scheduled from March 26 to 29, AIB learned on site.
According to Burkina Information Agency, under the theme "Local Products and Economic Opportunities," this 7th edition aims to transform the region's resources into genuine drivers of growth for its people. The organizers stated that the objective of this meeting with media professionals is to generate enthusiasm for "buying local" while providing a platform for stakeholders in the agri-food value chain.
For the speakers, the promotion of local cuisine is not only about cultural preservation, but also constitutes an "important lever for economic development" for rural and urban communities.
For four days, the Place de la Nation in Koudougou will pulsate with the rhythm of exhibitions and sales, culinary demonstrations, and artistic performances. The festival aims to be a platform for exchange between producers, processors, and restaurateurs, highlighting the diversity of culinary heritage and local expertise.
The organizing committee concluded its exchange by launching an appeal for the general mobilization of the populations of the "city of the red rider" and surrounding areas, inviting them to support the national economy by consuming local products.
