Kouloho Village Contributes Aggregates for Founzan Prefecture Construction

Founzan: The village of Kouloho in the commune of Founzan, Tuy province, supplied approximately ten tractor loads of aggregates, including rubble, gravel, and sand, on Thursday, March 26, 2026. This initiative supports the ongoing construction of the Founzan prefecture under the Presidential Initiative for Community Development (IPDC), coinciding with the 3rd edition of the Founzan Cultural Festival (FESCULO).

According to Burkina Information Agency, this contribution from Kouloho is a key feature of the 3rd edition of FESCULO, which also focuses on reviving traditional dance steps and mobilizing communities for local development. The initiative's goal is to facilitate the progressive construction of the prefecture through community mobilizations and fundraising under the IPDC, especially its component 1, to reestablish state authority in the area.

The president of the special delegation of Founzan, Wahabo Kabore, along with the FESCULO organizing committee, commended Kouloho's gesture. They expressed gratitude for the exemplary contribution and urged other villages and community leaders to participate similarly.

The prefecture's current building has been unsafe for three years, leading to the relocation of services to the Departmental Union of Cotton Producers. The foundation stone for the new prefecture is set to be laid on April 4, 2026, as announced by the organizers.

The 3rd edition of FESCULO is scheduled from April 2nd to 4th, 2026, in the commune of Founzan.
