Koulp©logo: The written exams for the 2026 baccalaureate session were launched on Tuesday by the High Commissioner of Koulp©logo Province, Sadou Ou©draogo, in the commune of Cinkans©. The province registered 413 candidates, including 223 boys and 190 girls, with an attendance rate of 96.85%.
According to Burkina Information Agency, the province of Koulp©logo registered 413 candidates this year, including 223 boys and 190 girls. Of these, 400 candidates, including 213 boys and 187 girls, actually sat for the exams. Only 13 candidates, including 10 boys and 3 girls, were absent, representing an absence rate of 3.15%.
The official launch took place at the Cinkans© examination center, located at the Saint-Antoine de Padoue high school. The ceremony was marked by the opening of the first envelope containing the examination questions by the High Commissioner of the Koulp©logo province, Sadou Ou©draogo, in the presence of administrative, educational, military, and paramilitary authorities.
This solemn ceremony brought together, in particular, the provincial director of Secondary Education, Vocational and Technical Training (DPESFPT), Jacob Segda, the prefects, the jury presidents, the educational supervisors as well as several officials from the decentralized services of the State.
In his address to the candidates, the High Commissioner sought to reassure and encourage them before the start of the exams. He urged them to approach the tests with calm and confidence, emphasizing that the topics were based primarily on the knowledge acquired during the school year. ‘Don’t be stressed, it’s the sum of what you were given during the school year that we’re going to ask a little bit of,’ said Sadou Ou©draogo.
The provincial authority also stressed the importance of strictly adhering to the rules governing the exam. It reiterated the formal prohibition on bringing mobile phones or any other prohibited equipment into the exam rooms and urged candidates to demonstrate discipline, responsibility, and integrity.
For his part, the provincial director of Secondary Education, Vocational and Technical Training of Koulp©logo, Jacob Segda, invited the candidates to rely on their own efforts and to avoid any attempt at fraud in order to preserve the credibility of this national examination.
At the Cinkans© center, 326 candidates are taking their exams in an atmosphere marked by discipline and serenity, thanks to the organizational arrangements put in place by the administrative and educational authorities.
Through this mobilization of the various stakeholders, the province of Koulp©logo intends to guarantee candidates the best working conditions for the success of this crucial exam in their school and academic career.
