Liptako: Yameogo Adriel, winner of slam poetry from the province of Namentenga, will have left her mark on the Kaya Regional Culture Week (SRC) 2025. Interned due to compulsory patriotic immersion, she shone in her discipline with a total of 14.60/20, ranking among the 8 nominees in this category.
According to Burkina Information Agency, the patriot’s performance, marked by the titles “Terre” and “Hommage a Thomas Sankara”, captivated the jury thanks to the precise arrangement of words, her captivating gestures and a strong stage presence.
“I spoke about culture, and I will always speak about culture, because it is culture that makes us whole people,” confided the young artist, visibly moved to be designated ambassador of the Koulse region for the Bobo-Dioulasso cultural platform in 2026 for her first participation.
Adriel Yameogo, a recent graduate in the D series, is now committed to honoring her region at the 22nd edition of the National Culture Week (SNC BOBO 2026), after the patriotic immersion, with the help of her supervisor. This victory is a key step for this young slam poet, who hopes to fly the flag for her region on the national stage.
