Ouagadougou: The new governor of the Koulse region and acting president of the Central-North Regional Special Delegation, Adenyo/Serme Bernadette, announced her intention to align her missions with the dynamics of the Popular Progressive Revolution (RPP). She urged the region's key stakeholders to abandon indifference and promote a sense of duty, patriotism, work, discipline, and responsibility during an official handover ceremony.
According to Burkina Information Agency, Governor Adenyo/Serme emphasized that administrative actions must reflect a commitment to serve the working masses and contribute to the country's transformation. She highlighted the national context's demand for increased patriotism, courage, cohesion, availability, rigor, probity, and a high sense of public service from all citizens.
Comrade Adenyo/Serme called on public administration, the private sector, the Defense and Security Forces (FDS), the Volunteers for the Defense of the Homeland (VDP), and both customary and religious authorities, along with development partners and the population, to unite against security, social, and economic challenges. She stressed the importance of building a resilient Koulse region focused on endogenous development and urged each actor to fully assume their responsibilities.
The governor reassured the governorate and the regional council staff of her availability, advocating for a professional environment grounded in trust, dialogue, responsibility, accountability, and respect for rules. Outgoing governor Colonel-Major Blaise Ouedraogo expressed his readiness to support his successor, emphasizing the continuity of the State and the seamless transition of power.
The staff of the regional institutions, through their representatives, pledged their support to the new regional authority and commended Colonel-Major Ouedraogo's record. The Secretary General of the Regional Council, Noufoun Ouattara, highlighted the former governor's rigor and public service commitment, which elevated the team, and his strategic vision focused on the region's general interest and development. He also noted his aim to establish governance based on transparency, responsibility, accountability, and procedural respect.
