The young people discussed their activities and the renewal of their office.From August 26 to September 3, 2024, on the occasion of its 63rd national council coupled with its 43rd national meeting in the diocese of Koupéla, the Young Catholic Students will evaluate the activities of the last two years of their organization and then move on to the renewal of their national office.A panel was held around the theme: "Rooted in the foundations of your movement, YEC, act, for the promotion of social cohesion and the professional integration of young people", which will serve as a sharing of experiences on social cohesion and living together."We are satisfied, even if there are imperfections that we will take into account soon. Durin g this week, we will discuss the chosen theme but also talk about many subjects between young people linked in particular to the challenges of the moment while hoping that next year the country will be at peace," declared the president of the Catholic Student Youth, Abel Kabore.Monsignor Gabriel Sayaogo congratulated the young people while indicating the need for young people to make their youth and religion a tool to combat all forms of discrimination."You are young people and youth constitute the hope of a country. You must therefore put your youth to the credit of social cohesion and living together, especially in a context where our country is going through a very difficult situation," he added.The Secretary General of the Kourittenga province, Fernand Wenceslas N'do, representing the High Commissioner, also invited all participants to be open-minded so that at the end of their event, everyone could be an ambassador for peace in their locality of origin."I am all the more happy that today, it is a movement that continues to work for the noble cause of our young people.
