Kourittenga Hosts CQP Exam in Tailoring with 286 Candidates

Ouagadougou: 286 candidates are taking the CQP exam in tailoring in Koupela. The High Commissioner of the province of Kourittenga, Moctar Ilboudo, accompanied by the constituted bodies, proceeded to open the first envelope containing the theoretical tests of the Professional Qualification Certificate (CQP) in cutting and sewing, this Tuesday, June 30, 2026, in Koupela, with 286 candidates in the running.

According to Burkina Information Agency, the examination is organized in both French and Moore to ensure better understanding by the candidates. It focuses exclusively on the tailoring and sewing sector in the province of Kourittenga. A total of 286 candidates, comprising 52 boys and 234 girls, are participating in this session. They are distributed across four juries in Koupela.

Before the commencement of the exams, Moctar Ilboudo, the High Commissioner of Kourittenga Province, encouraged the candidates to remain calm and confident in their abilities. "I urge you to remain calm, to have confidence in your abilities, and to give your best throughout the exam. I also wish you every success in this crucial step in your professional journey," he said.

Additionally, Dieudonne Belemssigri, the provincial director of secondary education and vocational and technical training in Kourittenga, wished the candidates good luck. He emphasized that the CQP is a recognized professional diploma that offers prospects for socio-professional integration and self-employment. He encouraged the candidates to demonstrate discipline, concentration, and rigor during the test.

The candidates have been preparing for this professional diploma during their training, which serves as a stepping stone to employment and entrepreneurship. As per the schedule, the CQP theoretical exams will be held on June 30, 2026, with marking set for July 1, prior to the practical exams that will assess the technical skills of the candidates. The BQP (Professional Qualification Certificate) exam is scheduled from July 21 to 28, 2026.
