Kourittenga: The province of Kourittenga, at the Koupela town hall, welcomed the torch of the national solidarity campaign 'DEME SIRA' under the leadership of the governor of the Nakambe region, Colonel Aboudou Karim Lamizana, accompanied by a regional delegation, in the presence of the provincial administrative, customary, religious, military, and paramilitary authorities of Kourittenga.
According to Burkina Information Agency, as part of the national campaign to promote solidarity, the provincial authorities and the vital forces of Kourittenga welcomed the torch of the "DEME SIRA" caravan to the town hall of Koupela. On this occasion, a sum of 2520,000 FCFA was raised on site by the population present at the torch reception ceremony.
The Napam-Boum Naaba, representing His Majesty Naaba Yemde of Koupela, welcomed the initiative, which for him is simply a return to our values. The governor of the Nakambe region, Colonel Aboudou Karim Lamizana, congratulated the people for their contribution, while inviting them to maintain this spirit of patriotism and solidarity for the achievement of the objectives of this national campaign to promote solidarity called "DEME SIRA".
A total of 2,400 food kits were distributed to host communities, internally displaced persons (IDPs), and vulnerable populations in Kourittenga province. Each kit contained 20 kg of rice, 10 kg of corn, 3 liters of oil, 1 kg of sugar, and salt. The donation was made by the NGO Association for Humanitarian Benevolence (ABH) in partnership with the King Salman Center for Relief and Humanitarian Action of the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia.
