Kourittenga Sports Consultation Framework Focuses on Harmonious Development

Koupela: The Secretary General of the Kourittenga Province, Fernand Wenceslas Y. Ndo, presided over the first sports consultation framework of 2026 in Koupela. This meeting brought together sports clubs, promoters, as well as sports enthusiasts from the different disciplines of the province.

According to Burkina Information Agency, the Secretary General of the province of Kourittenga, Fernand Wenceslas Y. Ndo, praised the mobilization of sports actors and invited them to make sport a real lever of social cohesion and local development. Several points were placed on the agenda, including the harmonization of sports activity programs, the modalities of participation in Faso Mebo, as well as various concerns related to the organization and promotion of sport in the province.

The provincial director of Sport and Recreation of Kourittenga, Alphonse Kayaba Zoungrana, stated that the objective of this meeting is to exchange directly with sports actors in order to ensure better coordination of activities, avoid overlaps of programs, and encourage active and organized participation in Faso Mebo. He emphasized that sport should be a framework for unity, innovation, and development for Kourittenga.

On behalf of the promoters, Justin Traore, promoter of the Sport and Wellness festival, appreciated the initiative, recognizing it as an opportunity for dialogue with the sports administration. He expressed satisfaction and commitment to supporting the momentum generated for the promotion of sport in the province.

Following the discussions, participants agreed on a strategic reorganization of sporting activities, focusing on innovation, synergy of actions, and strengthening collaboration between different structures. This first sports consultation marks an important step towards a harmonious and structured development of sport in the province of Kourittenga.
