Kourittenga: The Kourittenga provincial final of the Organization of Sport and Culture in Primary Schools (OSCEP) was held on Saturday, June 27, 2026, at the field in Sector 3 of Koup©la. Under the theme "Sport and Culture in Schools: Foundations of Education for Cohesion and Resilience," the Dialgaye Basic Education District (CEB) emerged victorious over the Pouytenga II District, with a decisive 2-0 victory.
According to Burkina Information Agency, the final ceremony was presided over by the High Commissioner of Kourittenga, Moctar Ilboudo, representing the Minister of Security. The event was attended by administrative, customary, religious authorities, and key figures from the educational sector.
From the start, Dialgaye CEB set a commanding pace, scoring the first goal in the 10th minute. This early advantage placed Pouytenga II CEB under constant pressure leading up to halftime. After the break, Pouytenga II's efforts to level the score left their defense vulnerable, allowing Dialgaye to secure a second goal on a counter-attack late in the game, finalizing the score at 2-0.
Issaka Minoungou, coach of the winning team, expressed satisfaction, stating, "We are satisfied with this trophy. The team's hard work and efforts have paid off. There had to be a winner, and we commend our opponent's performance."
Ouboli Marcel Yogo, the provincial director of education in Kourittenga, commended the dedication of local education actors for their achievements throughout the school year. He also extended gratitude to the event's partners and sponsors.
The High Commissioner used the occasion to applaud the teaching staff and supervisors for their performance in the Primary School Certificate (CEP), noting a 97.19% success rate in the province.
At the end of the match, the two finalist teams were awarded for their efforts. Dialgaye CEB, as winners, received the trophy, a set of jerseys, and a financial reward of 75,000 CFA francs. Pouytenga II CEB, as finalists, were awarded a set of jerseys, a ball, and 65,000 CFA francs.
The event concluded with the presentation of certificates of recognition to several regional figures, acknowledging their contributions to education and school sports.
