Kourittenga: The village of Gomtenga in the commune of Dialgaye, Kourittenga province, came alive on Thursday, May 15, 2025, as it hosted the first edition of the Festival of Traditions and Customs of Gomtenga (FESTRAGOM). This event was initiated by His Majesty the Nakom-naaba Saaga to celebrate and reinforce the importance of local customs and traditions.

According to Burkina Information Agency, the FESTRAGOM festival marked a significant gathering that included regional, provincial, and municipal authorities, along with customary chiefs and the local population. The festival aimed to create a platform for the exchange and transmission of cultural values to the younger generations.

The Governor of the Central-East region, Colonel Aboudou Karim Lamizana, praised the initiative led by His Majesty the Nakom-naaba Saaga and encouraged alignment with the broader objectives set by national authorities.
