Bousse: The municipal authorities of Bousse conducted a field visit to assess the ongoing operations related to the enforcement of directives for clearing public road rights-of-way. Accompanied by technical services from the town hall and representatives from citizen monitoring associations, the delegation, led by Issiaka Ganemtore, president of the special delegation of the commune, inspected several key areas.
According to Burkina Information Agency, the focus of the inspections was on the section of the Soala road and areas around National Road 2, between the Medical Center with Surgical Unit (CMA) and the northern exit of the town. This visit enabled the authorities to evaluate the effectiveness of the actions taken by those occupying the verges. Numerous sheds, kiosks, shops, and stalls obstructing the roads have been dismantled, although some traders are still lagging in following the directives.
Issiaka Ganemtore emphasized that the purpose of the visit was to assess the situation and increase awareness among those who have delayed compliance. He cautioned that sanctions would be imposed on non-compliant individuals, while also acknowledging the efforts of citizens who met the deadlines.
The president highlighted the anticipated benefits of these developments, including improved road safety, reduced accidents, better organization of parking, and enhanced urban aesthetics. This initiative is part of a larger effort towards controlled urbanization and adherence to regulations governing the use of public spaces.
Municipal authorities are committed to ongoing supervision and awareness campaigns to ensure compliance with urban standards, aiming for a safer and more appealing city.
