Hanoi: The special delegation of the commune of Bkuy in the province of Tuy held its first extraordinary session of 2026 on Monday, August 17, 2026, under the chairmanship of its president, Assiata Tiendrbeigo. Several points were on the agenda, notably the National Days for the Control of Larvicides.

According to Burkina Information Agency, the head nurse of the Bkuy Health and Social Promotion Center (CSPS), Bourima Rakistaba, explained the importance of the National Days of Larvicide Control, held on August 8 and 9, 2026, under the theme: “Let’s no longer be complicit with mosquitoes, let’s destroy larval habitats.” The aim of these days is to strengthen the fight against mosquitoes. He advised continued attention to clearing gutters and destroying breeding sites to reduce mosquito breeding grounds. Comrade Rakistaba thus invited the population to become more involved in this fight.

The session also raised awareness among participants about Community Shareholding for Development (APEC). Charles Kinou, the provincial coordinator of the Agency for the Promotion of Community Shareholding (APEC), presented the agency’s activities and explained the opportunities offered by community shareholding. He also encouraged participants to register with APEC and to prioritize the consumption of locally produced goods.
