Zoundw©ogo: The President of the Special Delegation of the municipality of Gogo, Issa Tiendrebeogo, presided over the official launch ceremony of the first phase of the 3rd edition of the Days of Patriotic Engagement and Citizen Participation (JEPPC) at the Gogo town hall.
According to Burkina Information Agency, the event was attended by the constituted bodies of the municipality, reflecting their commitment to promoting civic and patriotic values alongside local authorities. The ceremony featured two significant activities: the raising of the national colors and the reading of a message from the Head of State.
The national flag was raised by officers from the National Police station in the Gogo district, accompanied by the national anthem sung in the Moor© language by students of Gogo A public primary school. This sequence created an atmosphere of solemnity and patriotism.
Following the flag-raising, the Chairman of the Special Delegation read a message from Captain Ibrahim Traor©, the Head of State. The message urged the people of Burkina Faso to change their mindset and commit to achieving food sovereignty. Inspired by this call, Issa Tiendrebeogo encouraged all constituted bodies and the public to fully engage with the JEPPC, emphasizing the promotion of local consumption and the wearing of Faso Danfani, a symbol of national identity.
This edition of the JEPPC, running from March 26 to April 9, 2026, is themed 'Food Sovereignty and Economic Patriotism: Together, let us cultivate our dignity through local production and consumption.'
