This is the reason for my presence here this morning," Minister Savadogo explained to the AIB.The meeting began with the canton chiefs and religious leaders of Bam. They presented the concerns of the population to the minister and proposed solutions."We will ask you to convey to the President of Faso to deal firmly with all accomplices of terrorism from now on," insisted one participant. At the end of t his phase, the minister had another meeting with the different social classes of Bam in the large room of the Kongoussi town hall. The participants discussed, among other things, the isolation of the commune of Bourzanga, the insufficiency of combat equipment for the Volunteers for the Defense of the Fatherland (VDP), and above all the need to strengthen cohesion between the civilian populations and between all the combat forces. The last step was for the minister to meet the VDPs behind closed doors, at their request. The meeting was held in the meeting room of the High Commission, in the presence of Minister Boubacar Savadogo, High Commissioner Adama Jean Yves Béré, and the VDP."We are very satisfied because we were able to express ourselves directly with the envoy of the President of Faso.
