Liptako: The Liptako region has recorded a 91.24% success rate in the Primary School Certificate (CEP) exams for the 2026 session, as announced on June 13, 2026. This achievement marks a significant milestone for the region's educational sector.
According to Burkina Information Agency, 3,438 candidates participated in the CEP exams in Liptako this year. Out of these, 3,137 students were declared successful, indicating a regional pass rate of 91.24%. This outcome reflects the collective efforts of teachers, educational supervisors, administrative authorities, and parents of students in the region.
In the provincial rankings, Oudalan emerged as the top performer with 1,071 students passing out of 1,129 candidates, translating to a success rate of 94.86%. Following Oudalan, the province of Sno secured a second-place finish with a 91.90% success rate, having 1,294 successful candidates out of 1,408. Yagha province followed, recording a success rate of 85.68% with 772 successful candidates out of 901.
At the level of Basic Education Districts (CEB), Dori I had the highest number of candidates with 640, of whom 586 passed, resulting in a 91.56% success rate. Gorom-Gorom II CEB achieved a notable pass rate of 97.65% with 624 successful candidates out of 639. Similarly, Dori II CEB recorded a 97.69% pass rate, with 508 out of 520 candidates succeeding.
The Gorgadji CEB stood out by achieving a 100% success rate, with all 15 candidates being declared admitted. The regional director of Preschool, Primary, and Non-Formal Education for Liptako and Soum, Noufou Tao, expressed his satisfaction with the results and acknowledged the contributions of all stakeholders in the education system.
Mr. Tao emphasized that these performances highlight the resilience and dedication of everyone involved in achieving the region's educational objectives. He praised the teachers of the CM2 classes for their dedication throughout the school year and congratulated the successful students. Additionally, he encouraged those who did not succeed to continue their efforts in preparation for future opportunities.
