Loroum: Some “Titaolians” Welcome the Dissolution of Political Parties

Loroum: The Council of Ministers, in its ordinary session on Thursday, January 29, 2026, decreed the dissolution of political parties and the return of their assets to the State. Some residents of Titao consider the initiative welcome.

According to Burkina Information Agency, several residents of Titao expressed support for the government's decision. Amade Younga, known as Gess, pointed out that politicians had failed to fulfill their promises, while the current leadership under Ibrahim Traore has been proactive in infrastructure development without making empty promises.

Flavien Tapsoba suggested that a single-party system could foster unity and strengthen social cohesion, as multiple political parties have been a source of division. Sidiki Kindo shared this view, expressing satisfaction with the decision and emphasizing the need for unity behind the current leadership's vision.

Amade Barry echoed the sentiment, seeing the dissolution as a means to end differences and enhance social cohesion. Boukary Kagone remarked on the misalignment of Western-style politics in Africa, suggesting that the new approach could unify support behind national initiatives.

However, there are voices of dissent. An anonymous speaker argued that political parties play a crucial role in shaping the country's political landscape and development.
