Bobo-Dioulasso:A man aged approximately 47 was discovered dead by hanging from a tree in front of his yard on the morning of Tuesday, September 22, 2026, in sector 22 of Bobo-Dioulasso.

According to Burkina Information Agency, statements from the deceased's uncle, Bernard Golan, revealed that the man returned from the Ivory Coast, where he had been cultivating a field, to his village to farm. He later came to Bobo as a mason's apprentice. Golan said, "It was when we woke up very early this morning that we saw the body."

The uncle mentioned that the deceased suffered from mental disorders, though no connection has been confirmed between this condition and the death.

Authorities were alerted and arrived on the scene to investigate. The police, accompanied by a doctor and firefighters, conducted the usual checks, and the body was subsequently taken to the cemetery for burial. The exact circumstances surrounding the hanging are still under investigation.
