Zondoma: Those called up for mandatory patriotic immersion gave an account of their participation to the High Commissioner of the province, Aboubacar Sidiki Nab, on the occasion of the solemn raising of the colors, on Monday, September 7, 2026.

According to Burkina Information Agency, a total of 361 individuals participated in the second edition of the Mandatory Patriotic Immersion (IPO) program, which was held from July 27 to August 26, 2026, in Ouahigouya, the capital of the Yaadga Region. This program was designed to instill a sense of patriotism and national duty among the participants.

Upon their return, the conscripts took part in a solemn ceremony on September 7, 2026, where they reported on their experiences to the High Commissioner and other key stakeholders. Pengd Wend Madina Guiro, the spokesperson for the participants, highlighted that the program instilled values such as living together, tolerance, a sense of duty, ethics, discipline, and close order.

Guiro conveyed that the participants emerged from the program committed to embodying these values. She addressed the authorities with a pledge to uphold the principles learned during their immersion. The participants were subsequently lauded by the High Commissioner for their dedication and were urged to apply the lessons learned in their daily lives.
