Manni: OSCEP’s 2026 Sports Season Officially Launched

Manni: The Basic Education District (CEB) of Manni officially launched the 2026 sports season of the Organization of Sport and Culture in Primary Schools (OSCEP) on Saturday morning, on the local communal grounds. The ceremony was held in the presence of the prefect, president of the special municipal delegation of Manni, Emmanuel Tindano, as well as administrative, customary, religious and military authorities, actors from the educational world, students and parents of students.

According to Burkina Information Agency, to mark the start of the season, the various primary schools in the municipality held a joint parade in an atmosphere of civic spirit and camaraderie. In his address, the head of the Manni Basic Education District (CCEB) emphasized that school sports contribute to the holistic development of children by fostering teamwork, discipline, and respect for rules.

"School sports help shape well-rounded, responsible, and supportive citizens," he stated, encouraging students to participate in the various sports in a spirit of fair play. The ceremony was marked by a gala match between the teams of Manni A and Manni B schools, which ended in a draw in an atmosphere of fraternity. The OSCEP competitions will continue in the coming weeks with the participation of primary schools in the district.
