Ouagadougou: Ousmane Soubidou brilliantly defended his Master's thesis in mediation on Friday, February 5, 2026, at UMET-Burkina University, on the theme "The practice of community mediation: the case of the College of Dialogue and Mediation (CDM) of the Eastern region of Burkina Faso".

According to Burkina Information Agency, it is in a context marked by community tensions and security challenges that this research highlights the role of local peace structures in the prevention and management of conflicts.

The research highlighted that, despite the lack of formalized academic tools, endogenous mechanisms based on dialogue, social legitimacy and inclusion effectively contribute to social cohesion.

Through his analysis, several perspectives were listed for the valorization of local approaches in contemporary peacebuilding strategies.

The jury judged his research topic to be very relevant and awarded him a grade of 16.5/20.
