May 15, a day of state equity towards all religions, in the opinion of Minister Emile Zerbo

Ouagadougou: The celebration this Tuesday of a day dedicated to traditions and customs is for Minister Emile Zerbo a question of state justice towards all religious faiths practiced in Burkina Faso.

‘The institution of May 15 recalls the equitable consideration that the State must have towards all religious faiths existing on the national territory,’ explained the Minister of Territorial Administration, of Decentralization and Security, Emile Zerbo, on the Facebook page of his ministry.

‘Indeed,’ continues this professional magistrate minister, ‘many of our compatriots find in these traditions the answers to their identity and spiritual questions. For the building of a Nation of tolerance and peace, I invite the population to embrace the day of May 15 dedicated to the perpetuity of Burkinabè art, culture and spirituality.

Since the overthrow of the Burkinabè order by the French colonialist aggressors, this is the first time that the country has stopped to speak officially about its traditions and customs t
hat had until then been hidden or mocked.
