The Minister of Higher Education, Science and Innovation, Dr Blade Nzimande will join the virtual European Research and Innovation Days (EU R&I Days) session, which commenced today, the 23rd June 2021 and will continue tomorrow the 24th June 2021.
The European Research and Innovation Days (EU R&I Days) is the European Commission’s annual flagship Research and Innovation event, bringing together policymakers, researchers, entrepreneurs and the public to debate and shape the future of research and innovation in Europe and beyond.
The EU R&I Days represent a unique opportunity to bring stakeholders together to engage in this conversation.
The EU has noted that co-operation in research and innovation is essential for recovery from the COVID-19 pandemic and will pave the way to a greener and more digital future.
This year also marks the launch of the new European R&I Framework programme Horizon Europe, with an agreed budget of 95.5 billion euro, it is the largest research and innovation programme in the European Union and globally.
The EU R&I Days is held virtually with several sessions that will highlight the future of European research and innovation and Horizon Europe.
