Ouagadougou: The Minister of Security, Comrade Mahamadou Sana, inaugurated the Regional Judicial Police Service (SRPJ) and the Liptako Regional Child Protection Brigade in Dori. On this occasion, he firmly reaffirmed that "no one should hope to escape the law" in the region and that "from now on, impunity will find no refuge here."

According to Burkina Information Agency, the commissioning of these two structures is part of the dynamic of strengthening the national internal security system and consolidating the authority of the State in the Liptako region. Minister Sana explained that these new infrastructures reflect the desire of the highest authorities to bring security services closer to the population, while improving the operational capabilities of the National Police in the face of security challenges.

The minister praised the leadership of the President of Faso, Captain Ibrahim Traore, thanks to whom this project was able to come about, before expressing his gratitude to the technical and financial partners for their support in the realization of the infrastructure. Comrade Sana indicated that children are among the first victims of insecurity, particularly through their forced recruitment by terrorists, trafficking, and various forms of exploitation. In this context, he considered that their protection goes beyond a simple moral duty to become a national security imperative.

According to him, the Regional Brigade for the Protection of Children constitutes an institutional response to the expectations of thousands of children who aspire to grow up in dignity, safety, and respect for their rights. Addressing the missions of the Regional Judicial Police Service, the minister stressed that its creation responds to a major strategic requirement in the fight against terrorism. "Terrorism never develops in isolation. It feeds on criminal networks that provide its funding and strengthen its operational capabilities," he explained.

Thanks to this new structure, Liptako now has increased investigative capabilities to conduct complex investigations and dismantle criminal networks that support terrorist groups. The minister also urged the staff assigned to these two services to demonstrate rigor, integrity, and professionalism in carrying out their duties.

The regional director of the National Police of Liptako and Soum, Comrade El Hadj Namagna Traore, reassured that these two infrastructures will be used responsibly for the benefit of the people. According to him, these new buildings will significantly increase the capacity of services and improve the quality of services offered to users.

For her part, the second vice-president of the Special Communal Delegation of Dori, Comrade Fatimata Dicko, renewed the commitment of the people to support the Defense and Security Forces, as well as the Volunteers for the Defense of the Homeland (VDP). She recalled that "no nation can be free without the protection of its citizens, especially its children," while inviting the people to continue their collaboration with the forces engaged in the reconquest of the territory.

By inaugurating the Regional Judicial Police Service and the Regional Child Protection Brigade, the Burkinabe authorities intend to strengthen the fight against crime, protect the most vulnerable groups, and consolidate the State's presence in the Liptako region, in a context marked by security challenges.
