Ouagadougou: The staff of the Ministry of Security gathered on March 2, 2026, for the year's second monthly flag-raising ceremony. The event was attended by Minister of Security Mahamadou Sana, along with several officials and executives from the department.
According to Burkina Information Agency, Minister Sana delivered a message that emphasized the importance of discipline and public service commitment. He began by honoring the Defense and Security Forces (FDS) and the Volunteers for the Defense of the Homeland (VDP) who had lost their lives in service. He also wished a speedy recovery to the wounded and praised the determination of those continuing their mission with courage.
Minister Sana highlighted the need for a paradigm shift in public service actions, stressing that public servants must act with professionalism and prioritize public interest. He stated, "The public must be considered as clients of the public service, and we must bear in mind that the public interest takes precedence in all circumstances."
Addressing past disciplinary actions against officials involved in corruption, Minister Sana reaffirmed his commitment to combating unethical practices. He urged staff to embody probity and integrity, stating that promoting order and discipline is essential to advocating for the People's Progressive Revolution.
Minister Sana also congratulated the staff on their achievements and encouraged them to maintain their efforts. He concluded by extending best wishes for a blessed Ramadan and a happy International Women's Day to all religious communities.
