Ouagadougou: The Minister and Chief of Staff to the President of Burkina Faso has expressed satisfaction with the progress of the construction of Community Medical Centers (CMC) in the Kadiogo region. Captain Martha C©leste Anderson Dekomwin M‚¬Å¡¬€¦¡¬°DAH, along with the Minister of Health, Lucien Robert Jean-Claude KARGOUGOU, and the National Coordinator of the Presidential Initiative for Health (IPS), Drissa TRAOR‚¬Å¡¬€¦¡¬°, visited the construction sites of the CMCs in the region to assess the ongoing work.

According to Burkina Information Agency, the visit, which took place on Tuesday, June 9, included inspections of four sites: Bassinko, Pabr©, Gamp¨la, and Nagrin. At these sites, the Minister expressed her satisfaction with the progress, noting that construction was estimated to be between 70% and 75% complete.

“We visited our community health centers and we leave very satisfied with the overall progress we observed,” stated the Minister after the visit. This was echoed by Drissa Traor©, who explained that rigorous monitoring and a rapid pace contributed to the advanced level of completion.

The National Coordinator of the Presidential Health Initiative also mentioned that the visit was to assess the work’s progress, as preparations for acquiring equipment for the centers are already underway.

The Minister and Chief of Staff encouraged local beneficiaries to continue supporting and monitoring the work to ensure effective execution of the projects. The Minister of Health commended the President’s vision to bring quality healthcare closer to the people.

These medical centers are part of a broader Presidential Initiative for Health, aiming to construct 55 community health centers across various regions of Burkina Faso.
