More Than 6 Billion CFA Francs to Be Mobilized for 2026 Investment Plan of Central-North Regional Special Delegation

Sandbondtenga: More than 6 billion to be mobilized for the 2026 Annual Investment Plan of the Central-North Regional Special Delegation: During its fourth ordinary session held on November 4, 2025, in Kaya, the Central-North Regional Special Delegation adopted its 2026 Annual Investment Plan (AIP).

According to Burkina Information Agency, the 2026 AIP has a total budget of 6,166,851,449 CFA francs and is part of the 2023-2027 Regional Development Plan (RDP). The plan encompasses a range of actions focusing on enhancing resilience, security, social cohesion, and peace. It also targets institutional reforms and the modernization of public administration.

The AIP aims to strengthen human capital development and solidarity while stimulating key sectors that are vital for the economy and employment. "With this Annual Investment Plan, the Centre-North region seeks to strengthen its economic, social, and infrastructural development, taking into account urgent needs and local priorities," noted Colonel-Major Z. Blaise Ouedraogo, president of the regional special delegation.

Colonel-Major Ouedraogo emphasized the necessity of collective involvement in the plan's implementation, highlighting the role of various development actors. "It is up to each of us to get involved in mobilizing resources so that its forecasts are realized for the benefit of the people," he stated, concluding the session with an appeal to partners and friends of the region, stressing their crucial role in meeting the investment plan's objectives.
