Tenkodogo: Subscribers of the Cooperative Society with Board of Directors of the Agency for the Promotion of Community Entrepreneurship (SCOOP-CA/APEC) of the Nakamb© region elected their regional representatives on Wednesday in Tenkodogo at the end of a Regional Section Assembly devoted in particular to the review of subscriptions and the prospects of popular shareholding.
According to Burkina Information Agency, following the vote, Moubara Bagagnan was appointed regional delegate while Ibrahim Zoumboudre was elected alternate to represent the Nakamb© subscribers within the cooperative’s governance bodies.
The meeting, held in the multipurpose hall of Tenkodogo, was chaired by the Secretary General of the Nakamb© region, Tass©r© Nacoulma, representing the Governor. Also in attendance were the High Commissioner of the Boulgou province, Dom¨b¨gui¨r¨ Constantin Dabir©, and the Director General of the Agency for the Promotion of Community Entrepreneurship (APEC), Karim Traor©.
In his speech, the Governor’s representative praised the Presidential Initiative for Community Entrepreneurship through Popular Shareholding, which he considers a powerful tool for citizen mobilization in favor of economic development and national sovereignty.
The workshop provided participants with a detailed presentation on the missions, objectives, and prospects of SCOOP-CA/APEC. Initiative leaders also presented a summary of subscriptions recorded in the region, as well as the performance achieved by community-based enterprises after three years of implementation.
The discussions highlighted the growing enthusiasm of the population for popular shareholding and its role in promoting an inclusive economy based on the direct participation of citizens in productive projects.
Following this review and information-sharing session, the subscribers elected their regional representatives. Tasked with representing the voice of Nakamb©’s shareholders, these representatives will be responsible for defending the subscribers’ interests and contributing to strengthening the cooperative’s governance.
This regional assembly represents an important step in the consolidation of SCOOP-CA/APEC in Nakamb©.
Through the election of their representatives, subscribers reaffirm their commitment to supporting community entrepreneurial dynamics and contributing to the creation of sustainable wealth for the benefit of the Burkinabe people.
