The Minister of Security, Police Divisional Commissioner Mahamadou Sana, proceeded, on Monday, September 23, 2024 in Dédougou, to the inauguration of the new regional directorate of the national police of Boucle du Mouhoun. With a total cost of more than 603 million CFA francs, the infrastructure has amenities to enable the directorate to work well according to the missions assigned to it.
Long desired by the population, the Boucle du Mouhoun region now has a brand new regional directorate of the national police, built on an area of ??1.5 ha and carried out thanks to the Burkinabe State, the United Nations Development Programme (UNDP) through German cooperation worth 603,953,522 FCFA.
The inauguration took place on Monday, September 23, 2024 in Dédougou, by the Minister of Security, Police Divisional Commissioner Mahamadou Sana.
The work was carried out by a local son, Adama Zina, through his company Lambo Service, to whom the police hierarchy sent its congratulations for the quality of the work and its g
enerosity in offering free of charge an equipped borehole and Wi-Fi connection to the Regional Directorate of the National Police (DRPN).
The regional director of the national police of Boucle du Mouhoun, Divisional Commissioner Abdoulaye Sidibé, expressed his gratitude to the authorities for having provided the Boucle du Mouhoun region with an impressive infrastructure that will offer more convenience for the service to the population.
He made a commitment to maintain the jewel well and to offer a quality service to users.
Divisional Commissioner Abdoulaye Sidibé promised to transmit through administrative channels grievances for greater efficiency of the DRPN in its sovereign missions and taking into account the requirements and security challenges of the moment.
For the Minister of Security, Mahamadou Sana, the regional directorate which is the new headquarters of the national police of Boucle du Mouhoun has all the amenities to allow the DRPN to work well, to better serve the populations and above all
to protect them and their property.
Addressing the police family, the minister urged them to take good care of the premises.
“In an environment where collective awareness is declining dramatically in terms of maintaining public property, dear police officers, you have an absolute obligation to take care of these buildings, starting with the toilets. You must adopt exemplary behavior at all levels in the use of public property. Let everyone at their level, from the DGPN to the DRPN, keep a close eye on things,” he instructed.
The person in charge of security informed the population that the DRPN/BMH is a common good that will be used by both the police and the population and invited them to take good care of the infrastructure.
“Take ownership of it and continue above all in the dynamic of mutual trust, frank dialogue and synergy of action in order to be able to face the multiple security challenges that our homeland is experiencing,” advised Mahamadou Sana.
The Boucle du Mouhoun region being an area with
high security challenges, Minister Sana acknowledged that work has been done but a lot of work remains to be done to overcome the terrorist hydra in the region.
He praised the commitment, bravery and resilience of all the fighting forces who sacrifice themselves daily for the homeland.
“At this stage, our conviction remains the same: to fight more than ever so that Burkina Faso triumphs. It is up to us to continue the fight, to liberate our country from the enemy. It is only at this price, in union, cohesion and commitment that we will pay the necessary tribute to our predecessors,” added the minister.
The inauguration was sponsored by the Massa of Dédougou, the President of the regional consular delegation and the President of the regional council of Burkinabe employers of Boucle du Mouhoun.
Through their representative, they expressed their gratitude to the authorities in charge of security for the choice made on them and promised to always be available to accompany the national police of Boucle du Mouh
oun on its various projects for peace and security in the region.
They also called on the population to unite to support the Transitional authorities, the FDS and VDP in their missions to reclaim the national territory.
The police hierarchy presented certificates of recognition to partners who worked to make this project effective from the acquisition of the land to the completion of the jewel.
