Ouarkoye: The President of the special delegation (PDS) of Ouarkoye, Idrissa Ganame, chaired a meeting with the young people of the commune to discuss the continuity of the Carrefour des besoins (Carrops) initiative and the mobilization of youth.
According to Burkina Information Agency, Mr. Ganame introduced a four-member ad hoc committee established to ensure the continuation of the Carrops initiative projects amidst the suspension of the Municipal Youth Councils. The committee is tasked with maintaining commitment and coordination for actions benefiting the municipal youth.
The discussions highlighted challenges in youth mobilization, revealing that communication between various associations is insufficient, which hinders active youth participation. Participants proposed measures to strengthen consultation, improve information dissemination, and promote synergy among youth structures.
The PDS of Ouarkoye commended the young people for their availability and sense of responsibility. He urged them to maintain their commitment to the initiative’s success, emphasizing the importance of a united and active youth in local development. “An organized and committed youth remains the driving force of communal progress,” he concluded.
