Municipal Council of Secondary Schools Established in Zambo to Enhance Educational Management

Sandbondtenga: The municipality of Zambo now has a Municipal Council for Secondary Schools, established to improve the organization and management of education at the local level.

According to Burkina Information Agency, the council is structured around a five-member executive committee. It is chaired by the representative of the mayor's office, Adama Guira. It also includes the general secretary, Jean Louis Somda, the treasurer, Zagu¨ Landry Somda, the secretary in charge of organization, information, and social mobilization, Donatien Some, and the secretary in charge of coordination, Ziniti¨rou Some.

In addition to the executive committee, observer members were appointed. These consist of four representatives of school principals and three technical staff members, tasked with monitoring and supporting the smooth operation of the council's activities.

The establishment of this body aims to strengthen the governance of the education system in the secondary schools of the municipality and to facilitate the implementation of educational policies.

The council members were officially installed by the President of the Special Delegation (PDS) of the municipality of Zambo, Tassere Badini, during a ceremony held in the town hall meeting room.

On this occasion, the PDS reiterated the legal framework governing the creation of the council and explained the missions entrusted to its members. According to the PDS, this structure is an essential tool for improving education management at the local level. "We want stakeholders capable of proposing a clear plan to facilitate the implementation of educational policies in secondary schools," the PDS stated.

He congratulated the members of the board and encouraged them to work in a spirit of cohesion and collaboration, both amongst themselves and with the various institutions. He also urged them to avoid any divisions related to the management of public assets and to prioritize a synergy of actions in service of education.

The ceremony was attended by departmental technical services, school council presidents, representatives of school principals, as well as customary and religious authorities.
