Ouagadougou: The Muslim community of Niceo donates 50,000 FCFA for the repair of the Dolo municipal ambulance: The Muslim community of Niceo presented a financial contribution of 50,000 FCFA to Dolo on Friday, July 17, 2026, to support the repair of the municipal ambulance, which has been out of service for several months due to a breakdown.
According to Burkina Information Agency, the donation was handed over by the representative of the Muslim community of Niceo, Harouna Konkobo, to the president of the Special Delegation (PDS) of the commune of Dolo, Ilassa Oudraogo. Mr. Konkobo explained that this contribution is the result of the solidarity of the Muslim faithful of Niceo and aims to support the efforts undertaken by the municipal authorities to restore the ambulance to working order. 'We wanted to make our modest contribution so that this ambulance could quickly return to service for the benefit of the population,' he said.
Upon receiving the donation, the PDS of Dolo expressed its gratitude to the Muslim community of Niceo for this gesture, which it described as civic-minded and supportive. This contribution demonstrates the commitment of the population alongside the municipality to meet the challenges related to access to healthcare. He stressed that putting the ambulance back into service will improve the handling of medical emergencies as well as the medical evacuations of patients to referral centers.
The municipal authorities have also launched an appeal to other active forces, to the sons and daughters of the municipality as well as to partners to follow the example of the Muslim community of Niceo in order to mobilize the resources necessary to repair the ambulance as soon as possible.
