Kongoussi: Muslims and Christians share a collective breaking of the fast in a spirit of social cohesion. The High Commissioner of the province of Koulpelogo, Sadou Ouedraogo, organized this Tuesday, March 3, 2026, at his residence, a collective breaking of the Muslim fast and of Christian Lent, in a spirit of fraternity and strengthening of living together.
According to Burkina Information Agency, this collective break symbolizes unity and fraternity between the different religious communities of Koulpelogo, said the High Commissioner of the province, Sadou Ouedraogo. The province's top official also gave thanks to God for this blessed month and expressed his gratitude to the religious denominations for their strong mobilization and unwavering commitment to social stability.
In turn, the religious representatives praised the provincial leader's initiative, describing it as a powerful act in support of social cohesion and the unity of the sons and daughters of Koulpelogo. Through a joint message, they implored divine grace for the province, praying for peace, security, and the well-being of the people during this spiritual period marked by fasting and penance.
The representative of the Ouargaye health district, Ange Kabore, took the opportunity to raise awareness among the faithful about the benefits of fasting for the human body. He emphasized that fasting, when practiced under the right conditions, promotes rest for the digestive system, cellular regeneration, and contributes to the improvement of certain metabolic functions. However, he urged everyone to monitor their health and seek medical attention if necessary.
Speaking on behalf of the fighting forces, the Provincial Director of the National Police of Koulpelogo, Eric Sawadogo, expressed his gratitude to the faithful and the entire population for their constant support of the fighting forces in the context of securing the territory.
