“My Brick for SANKARA” Campaign: MATM Staff Raise 5 Million CFA Francs


Ouagadougou: On Thursday, June 18, 2026, at the Thomas Sankara Memorial in Ouagadougou, Police Commissioner General Bertrand TOE, Chief of Staff to the Minister of State, Minister of Territorial Administration and Mobility, presented a donation of five million (5,000,000) CFA francs. This contribution represents the participation of the staff of the Ministry of Territorial Administration and Mobility (MATM) in the “My Brick for Sankara” campaign.



According to Burkina Information Agency, following the payment of the sum of five million (5,000,000) CFA francs and the handing over of the receipt, the Chief of Staff of the Minister of State, Minister of Territorial Administration and Mobility, Police Commissioner Bertrand TOE, indicated on behalf of the Minister of State, Comrade Emile ZERBO, that this gesture reflects the commitment of the MATM staff to the preservation and enhancement of the historical, patriotic and revolutionary heritage bequeathed by Comrade President Thomas SANKARA to present and future generations.



For his part, the Coordinator of the Isidore No«l Thomas SANKARA Memorial Infrastructure Construction Project (PCIM-INTS), Comrade Etienne LOMPO, welcomed this contribution from the staff of the Ministry of Territorial Administration and Mobility (MATM). ‘We receive this contribution from the staff of the Ministry of Territorial Administration and Mobility with deep gratitude and great satisfaction. Through this gesture, the MATM is making an important contribution to the building of this important place of memory, transmission and awareness, intended to preserve and perpetuate the political and revolutionary legacy left by the Father of the Democratic and Popular Revolution of August 1983,’ he stressed.



This contribution from the MATM staff follows the honor bestowed upon the ministry, through its head, the Minister of State, Comrade Emile ZERBO, to sponsor, on May 7, 2026, the 7th military tribute ceremony to Comrade President Thomas SANKARA, Father of the Burkinab¨ Democratic and Popular Revolution.
