Nahouri Education Awards Celebrate Excellence in Teaching and Learning


Nahouri: The best teachers and students in the province of Nahouri were recently honored in a ceremony recognizing their achievements and contributions to education. Lamoussa Florence Compaore from Po school, sector N°1, emerged as the best teacher, receiving a Sirius 115 motorcycle and two traditional loincloths as her reward. She follows in the footsteps of Salamata Kabre/Nitiema, the 2024 award recipient.



According to Burkina Information Agency, the school in sector N°1 of Po was named the best school, while the best Basic Education District (CEB) was awarded to Po, achieving an impressive 88.70% success rate with 2001 out of 2,256 students admitted. Each of these entities received letters of congratulations and school supplies in recognition of their achievements.



In addition to these honors, special prizes were given to the best student with a disability, a displaced boarding student, and a Franco-Arab student. The event sponsors, Mohamed Abembou, an economic operator and native of Nahouri, along with Sidonie Ouedraogo, the 4th vice-president of the special delegation of Ouagadougou, praised the education stakeholders for ensuring consistent results and high-quality education for the children of Nahouri.



They encouraged greater collaboration among education actors to transform Nahouri into a continuous source of skilled human resources capable of meeting the challenges of the modern world. SieAristide Mohamed Kam, the High Commissioner of the province, also congratulated the educators and urged them to maintain their commitment to excellence, aiming to reclaim Nahouri’s prestigious standing in regional education.



The province of Nahouri achieved a 91.16% success rate for the 2025 session, ranking 2nd at the regional level. The ceremony commenced with the audience singing the national anthem, a tribute to the victory of the fighting forces over the forces of evil.
