Nahouri: The populations of the commune of Zecco have mobilized food and cash amounting to more than 3.5 million CFA francs to support the Defense and Security Forces (FDS), the Volunteers for the Defense of the Homeland (VDP), and the families of fallen soldiers in the commune. This significant effort was also aimed at contributing to the patriotic support fund.
According to Burkina Information Agency, the FDS and VDP in Zecco received substantial support from the community, including 40 bags of rice weighing 50 kg each, 20 packets of food pasta, 10 cans of 20 liters of oil, 10 boxes of soap, and 600 liters of fuel. The families of the fallen soldiers were provided with a 50 kg bag of rice, a 5-liter can of oil, a box of food paste, and a financial envelope of 25,000 CFA francs each. Additionally, one million CFA francs were deposited into the patriotic support fund at the public treasury.
These contributions were collected during a 48-hour event dedicated to patriotic support, organized by the community of Zecco, located approximately fifty kilometers east of P´. The initiative was led by His Majesty Naaba Belem Ziire of Zecco, F©lix Attia Karfo, president of the organizing committee, and Banga Sia, president of the citizen watch of Zecco. They expressed gratitude to the President of Faso for his efforts in rebuilding the nation and liberating the national territory, urging all societal components to serve as shields in the fight against terrorism.
The event also saw the participation of a strong delegation of customary leaders from neighboring communes, Ghana, and Oubritenga, who gathered to support Naaba Belemziire's initiative. Local, national, and Ghanaian artists, including Privat, Oswald, Alice Aditoua, Steevo Atambir©, and King Sadock, contributed their talents to the event.
Presiding over the ceremony, Si© Aristide Mohamed Kam, the High Commissioner of Nahouri Province, applauded the people of Zecco for their patriotic efforts. He encouraged them to continue fostering peace and social cohesion within the community.
