Nahouri: The central police station of the city of P´ presented on Friday, June 19, 2026, the results of Operation WIBGA 2. The execution of this operation led to the arrest of 5 smugglers transporting pesticides and fertilizers worth approximately 11 million CFA francs.

According to Burkina Information Agency, the central police station in the city of P´ has put an end to the activities of a smuggling ring of 05 individuals who were involved in trafficking pesticides and fertilizers between the border of Burkina Faso and Ghana. The arrest took place on the evening of June 10, 2026, by members of the central police station.

The operation resulted in the seizure of four tricycles and a truck transporting 567 cartons of pesticides and 37 bags of Yara brand fertilizer, all valued at 11 million CFA francs. The provincial director of the national police in Nahouri, Luc Kabore, congratulated the officers for their dedication and urged them to remain vigilant. He also encouraged the public to report any suspected smuggling activities to the authorities using the numbers 17, 1010, and 16.
