Nakamb© Takes Lead in National Solidarity Campaign with Record Contribution

Nakamb©: Bringing together the constituted bodies, the defense and security forces, religious and customary authorities as well as the heads of decentralized structures, the Governor hailed "a collective victory".

According to Burkina Information Agency, the regional contribution amounts to 160,916,998 CFA francs, an amount which allowed Nakamb© to occupy first place nationally, ahead of other regions. "This credit belongs to the entire population. From the most remote villages to urban centers, everyone responded to the call with humility and patriotism," he stated, inviting stakeholders to preserve this momentum.

The top official in the region particularly thanked the organizing committee, technically supported by the Regional Directorate in charge of Solidarity, for centralizing collections and mobilizing citizens. For him, this distinction reflects two fundamental values: humility, which involves giving thanks for achievements, and patriotism, which motivates sharing with the most vulnerable. "Being number one is a responsibility. The hardest part is staying there," he emphasized.

Beyond the regional trophy, a local initiative was also recognized. The Association for the Development of Bittou won second place nationally as well as a special jury prize for its work on behalf of internally displaced persons (IDPs). Its president, Inoussa Guetakila, indicated that the association mobilized agricultural resources through community fields of maize, beans, soybeans, and sesame, with an estimated harvest of 18 tons. These products enabled support for internally displaced persons (IDPs), notably by covering the school fees of 178 children.

The Regional Director in charge of Solidarity, Boukar© Zabsonr©, attributed this success to popular support. "The campaign is over, but solidarity continues," he declared, noting that the first region will receive support for carrying out a large-scale project. The Governor has, in perspective, announced the availability of Nakamb© to host the next edition of the campaign, reaffirming the region's commitment to presidential initiatives, notably Faso M¨bo.

By designating Nakamb© as the leading solidarity region in Burkina Faso, this national campaign highlights the mobilization capacity and social cohesion of a resolutely committed population. For regional authorities, the challenge now is to consolidate this achievement and transform this momentum into a sustainable driver of community development.
