Namentenga: Members Of The Provincial Emergency Relief Council Participated In A Capacity-Building Session On Disaster Risk Management From February 10 To 12, 2026, In Boulsa. The Session Was Chaired By The High Commissioner Of Namentenga Province, Adama Conseiga, Who Also Serves As The President Of The Provincial Council For Emergency Relief And Rehabilitation (COPROSUR).

According To Burkina Information Agency, The Session Was Facilitated By The "Teeltaaba Project For The Promotion Of Resilience And Socioeconomic Integration Of Vulnerable Populations In The Kouritenga And Namentenga Provinces." The Training Addressed The Various Disasters Confronting Namentenga, Including Floods, Strong Winds, Droughts, Epidemics, Fires, And Community Conflicts. Through Group Work In Workshops And Plenary Sessions, Participants Identified Effective Risk Mitigation Practices And Developed An Operational Disaster Management Plan.

The High Commissioner, Adama Conseiga, Acknowledged The Participants For Their Commitment To The Work And Praised The Provincial Directorate Of Family And Solidarity For The Quality Of Their Communications. He Also Expressed Gratitude To The Project For Its Support. Meanwhile, The Secretary General Of The Province, Karim Isma«l Thiombiano, Urged COPROSUR Members To Promptly Report Any Signs Of Potential Disasters To Enable Timely Preventive Or Mitigation Measures.

Teeltaaba Theophile Bassole, The Project's Focal Point, Expressed Satisfaction With The Outcomes Of The Training And Conveyed Hope For The Return Of Peace To Burkina Faso. Additionally, It Was Noted That The Municipalities Of Boulsa And Dargo, The Project's Intervention Zones In Namentenga, Received Financial Support To Develop Their Respective Contingency Plans.
