Namentenga Province Hosts Baccalaureate Physical and Sporting Events for 401 Candidates

Namentenga: A total of 401 candidates participated on May 23, 2026, at the Boulsa Provincial High School for the physical and sports (EPS) tests of the 2026 baccalaureate session in Namentenga.

According to Burkina Information Agency, the official launch of the tests was conducted by the Secretary General of the province, Karim Isma«l Thiombiano, in the presence of the constituted bodies. Candidates deemed fit are taking their exams across three centers situated in Boulsa, as stated by the provincial director of Secondary Education and Vocational and Technical Training, Sibiri Abdoulaye Yarbanga.

Yarbanga clarified that candidates for the general baccalaureate in series A and D are attending their exams at the provincial high school and the departmental high school, respectively. Meanwhile, those pursuing the professional baccalaureate are holding their exams at the technical high school.

"As with the BEPC, each candidate is required to perform floor gymnastics. They also choose between sprinting and endurance running, then between jumping and shot put," Yarbanga explained. The provincial director assured that all necessary arrangements have been made to ensure the smooth execution of the exams in the province. Additionally, candidates for the vocational baccalaureate are scheduled to take their written and practical exams in Kaya beginning June 23, 2026.

The Secretary General of Namentenga province extended his best wishes for success to the candidates.
