Ouagadougou: The Minister of Communication, Culture, Arts and Tourism, Pingdwend Gilbert Oudraogo, received the organizing committee for the national tour of comedian Kabor l'Intellectuel. The tour included stops in Fada N'Gourma, Tenkodogo, Kaya, Ouahigouya, and Ouagadougou for the grand finale.
According to Burkina Information Agency, the meeting took place on July 14, 2026, where the Minister acknowledged the significance of the initiative led by Baarack Concepts. The tour aims to bring humor to the people while promoting national languages, living together, and patriotism. It is a continuation of a successful one-man show in the Moor language held on May 13, 2026, at the National Museum of Burkina Faso.
The organizers presented the tour's objectives and schedule, highlighting stops in Fada N'Gourma, Tenkodogo, Kaya, Ouahigouya, and the grand finale in Ouagadougou on August 29. According to Baarack Concepts' general manager, Issa Siguir, the performances in Fada N'Gourma, Tenkodogo, Kaya, and Ouahigouya will be free to ensure accessibility for young and vulnerable people, while the closing show in Ouagadougou will require a ticket.
Minister Pingdwend Gilbert Oudraogo praised the initiative as a contribution to strengthening social cohesion and promoting national cultural values. He commended the efforts to involve young people and pledged the ministry's support for the tour.
Kabor L'Intellectuel expressed that the tour is a civic commitment, intending to convey messages of hope, unity, and resilience through laughter across Burkina Faso. The tour, under the patronage of Minister Oudraogo, also enjoys co-sponsorship from Moumouni Zoungrana and Jacques Sosth¨ne Dingara, with sponsorship in Fada N'Gourma by Pascal Thiombiano, president and CEO of Expo Gulmu.
The tour will feature performances by artists such as El Presidente, Loukman, Diamond Girl, Dabross, and Nokoarba, combining humor with the celebration of national languages, patriotism, and harmonious living.
