Ouagadougou: The High Commissioner of Nayala Province, Honore Frederic Pare, conducted a working visit to the commune of Ye. From the Ye Special Delegation to the canton chief and education stakeholders, the High Commissioner held direct discussions with them on local concerns.
According to Burkina Information Agency, the provincial authority visited the municipal services, including the civil registry, where he inspected the birth certificate registers. He then spoke with the municipal staff, whom he encouraged to continue their efforts despite the difficulties related to a lack of material and financial resources.
The visit continued at the home of the canton chief, His Majesty Zina Passely, who was welcomed to the rhythm of drums. The High Commissioner commended the role of traditional leadership in social cohesion and conflict management, while reaffirming the State's commitment to strengthening its collaboration with customary authorities.
At the schools he visited, Mr. Pare congratulated the teachers on the results achieved and urged them to do even more. He emphasized discipline and hard work to the students, while setting a target of 100% success. He emphasized to the teachers that absences require a written authorization. A supply of materials, including reams of paper and a globe, was delivered to the Ye departmental high school.
The High Commissioner of the province of Nayala subsequently held a meeting for exchanges which saw the mobilization of administrative, customary, and religious authorities, women, young people, and socio-professional actors. Security issues dominated the discussions, with calls for increased personnel and resources for the defense and security forces.
The producers raised concerns about insecurity, lack of inputs, and the poor condition of the roads, particularly the Ye-Toma road. The women emphasized the importance of livelihoods and support for vulnerable people. In the social sectors, shortcomings were noted, including a lack of staff and equipment in health facilities, as well as the need to rehabilitate educational infrastructure and strengthen teaching staff.
In response, the High Commissioner reassured the public that their concerns would be relayed to the relevant authorities. He urged the population to strengthen their cooperation with the defense and security forces and to support the government's actions.
