Nazinon: The written examinations for the Primary School Certificate (CEP) and the entrance exam for sixth grade were officially launched this Tuesday at the Louré Public Primary School in Nazinon by Governor Massadalo Yvette Nacoulma. For the 2026 session, 18,504 candidates in the region are competing for their first school diploma. On this occasion, the regional authority encouraged the entire educational community mobilized for the smooth running of the exams and wished the candidates 'excellent luck'. She also praised the efforts made in preparing students and the innovations introduced to improve the organization of the tests, while expressing the wish to see Nazinon occupy "first place nationally".According to Burkina Information Agency, the regional director of preschool, primary, and non-formal education (DREPPNF) of Nazinon, Adama Congo, stated that the organization of the exams was made possible thanks to the support of national and regional authorities as well as the commitment of actors in the e ducation system. The region has 26 examination boards, 110 examination centers, and 398 rooms available to accommodate candidates. A total of 26 board presidents, 110 center presidents, 1,018 invigilators, 1,142 examiners, and 1,162 secretaries have been deployed.Bazèga has 6,726 candidates, Nahouri has 5,422 candidates compared to 5,047 in 2025, marking an increase of 375 candidates, while Zoundwéogo has gone from 6,398 to 6,536 candidates, representing an increase of 138 candidates. The DREPPNF welcomed the government's efforts in developing infrastructure and improving educational offerings, while acknowledging some difficulties related to the lack of supervisors and examiners.
