New Provincial Director of Family and Solidarity Pledges Commitment to Challenges in Leraba

Leraba: The Secretary General of the Leraba Province, Yeonviel Some, representing the High Commissioner, officially installed Special Education Inspector Brahima Soulama as the Provincial Director of Family and Solidarity for Leraba on Tuesday, April 14, 2026, in Sindou. He pledged to work diligently to live up to the trust placed in him and to meet the challenges ahead.According to Burkina Information Agency, the appointment of Brahima Soulama as the provincial director was made at the Council of Ministers on Thursday, March 26, 2026. The Secretary General of the province, Yeonviel Some, facilitated his installation in the new role. The outgoing director, Ousmane Ouedraogo, highlighted several significant projects awaiting the new director while expressing his readiness to provide support, emphasizing that the success of the new director would benefit Burkina Faso.The new director, Brahima Soulama, is tasked with addressing critical issues such as managing internally displaced persons and vulnerable host populations, overseeing Malian nationals in the Oueleni commune and other areas, and enhancing awareness campaigns to combat child marriage. He expressed gratitude to the authorities for their trust and committed to deserving it through his efforts.Bernadette Yameogo/Belem, the regional director of family and solidarity for Tannounyan, commended Ousmane Ouedraogo for his cooperation and contributions in Leraba. She, along with the provincial secretary general, expressed her willingness to support the newly appointed director, Brahima Soulama, in fulfilling his responsibilities.
