Niangoloko’s Somanagr Hotel Reopens After Extensive Renovation

Ouagadougou: The Somanagr hotel, originally opened in 2007 to address accommodation needs in Niangoloko, has undergone a complete renovation to enhance its quality standards. The hotel officially reopened on Saturday, April 11, 2026, in a ceremony chaired by Oussni Oudraogo, the president of the special municipal delegation of Niangoloko. The event was attended by the hotel's promoter, El Hadj K. Issiaka Sawadogo, and a notable delegation from C´te d'Ivoire, including the canton chief of Ferkessdougou.

According to Burkina Information Agency, the president of the Niangoloko special delegation expressed his satisfaction, highlighting the hotel's benefits for cultural and tourism stakeholders. He emphasized that the renovation will enable the provision of higher quality services. The Somanagr hotel now boasts 28 upscale rooms, a presidential suite, a restaurant-bar, a conference room, and a spacious parking lot of approximately 400 m².

The developer disclosed that an investment of 28 million CFA francs was made to enhance the infrastructure's quality and improve the services offered to customers. The reopening ceremony featured performances by traditional troupes and local artists, marking a significant cultural celebration for the community.
